The Cuero Livestock Commission Co. is a cattle auction located in the largest beef cow operating area in the State of Texas. The State of Texas has the largest population of beef cows in the nation. The immediate trade area of Cuero Livestock is Dewitt, Lavaca, Gonzales and Victoria Counties. It is a fact that no other 4 county area comes even close to the number of beef cows. This means more calves originate out of this area than anywhere in the nation.
Cuero Livestock is one of the largest auction markets in this territory. It consistently sells between 70,000 - 96,000 head of livestock each year. Approximately 15-20 percent of these are cows and bulls with the balance being calves. Sale day is every Friday at 10:00 AM.
