Dr. Benjamin Espy received a biology degree from Duke University in 1991. In 1996, he became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. After completing a residency in Lexington, KY in 2005, Dr. Espy became recognized as a board certified specialist in equine reproduction, infertility, and neonatology. During his career Dr. Espy has practiced equine medicine in Brenham, Texas, San Antonio, TX, and most recently in Lexington, KY at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute - a 42-doctor equine referral practice. Dr. Espy attributes much of his respect for the intricacies of equine reproduction to his mentors Dr. Terry Blanchard and Dr. Dickson Varner at Texas A&M. They are both recognized worldwide as leaders in the field of equine fertility.
