In 2005, Dr. Whitten earned his degree in Agribusiness with a minor in Economics from Texas A&M University. After a brief time in the banking industry, “I knew I wanted to go back to my roots which was being with animals. I grew up on a ranch in Eldorado, Texas, and animals were a part of everyday life. I missed it. So in 2009, I went back to Texas A&M as a veterinary student.” After graduation in 2013, Dr. Whitten worked in a mixed animal practice in South Texas. ? At DVDH, Dr. Whitten has access to cutting edge veterinary medical equipment. The on-site diagnostic tools allow him to quickly and affordably diagnose and treat his patients. “Getting these animals well and out of pain quickly means a lot. It’s the reason why we are here,” states Dr. Whitten. ? Dr. Whitten is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.
