Nikki Dictson Updated:03/2021

As Extension program specialist, Nikki Dictson has been with the Texas Water institute since September 2012 conducting watershed planning projects and trainings, as well as water quality and riparian education for the institute. She has been on the planning team, a facilitator and instructor for the Watershed Planning Short Course, associated trainings and roundtables. She also works on the Lake O’ the Pines TMDL Update project, coordinates the Texas Riparian and Stream Ecosystem Educational Program and represents TWRI on committees and planning teams.

Dictson worked the last seven years with the Soil and Crop Sciences Unit of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service coordinating the Plum Creek Watershed Protection Plan, developing many educational publications and outreach programs, and was on the team conducting the Geronimo and Alligator Creeks Watershed Protection Plan and the Texas Watershed Steward educational program.

She received her bachelor of science, a double major, in wildlife science and fisheries Science at New Mexico State University and her master of science in wildlife and fisheries science at Texas A&M University.
