While studying pre-med at Texas A&M University – College Station, Dr. Bynum decided to combine his passion for medicine with his love of animals and enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine graduating with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. He worked in both general practice as well as emergency medicine in the Dallas Forth Worth Metroplex for the next 17 years. Then he discovered another passion – medical imaging. After attending the Academy of Veterinary Imaging in Arlington, Texas and acquiring hundreds of hours of ultrasound study, he was offered a teaching position with the Academy and soon became the medical director. During his time teaching he routinely commuted to the greater New Jersey area to scan with a mobile ultrasound company for three years.
