Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center Corpus Christi Updated:01/2019

The Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Corpus Christi was officially opened in February, 1974, and formally dedicated in May, 1974. The Center is administratively responsible for the research of satellite stations laboratories located at Beeville, Flour Bluff, and Port Aransas. Faculty and staff located at the Center and Satellite Stations research problems facing south Texas agriculture and natural resources including animal nutrition, economics, entomology, plant pathology, plant physiology, animal physiology, soil science, weed science, wildlife management, mariculture and recreation.

Dedicated professionals associated with the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Corpus Christi strive to meet the needs of today and the future by “Improving Life Through Science and Technology”. Research Scientists taking a team approach to problem solving are shaping the future of the Texas Coastal Bend and beyond as we enter into a new era of global agricultural challenges. New technologies developed through results oriented research are transferred to end-users by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension professionals who are improving life and improving Texas.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service educates Texans in the areas of agriculture, environmental stewardship, youth and adult life skills, human capital and leadership, and community economic development. Extension offers the knowledge resources of the land-grant university system to educate Texans for self-improvement, individual action and community problem solving. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service professionals associated with the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Corpus Christi proudly serve their community.
