Texas Grassland Reserve Program Updated:09/2020

**Discontinued, Apply Now Under the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program**

The Grassland Reserve Program (GRP) was a voluntary program that helped landowners and operators restore and protect grassland, including rangeland and pastureland, and certain other lands, while maintaining the areas as grazing lands. Emphasis for enrollment into the program is on support for grazing operations, plant and animal biodiversity, and grasslands under the greatest threat of conversion.

The GRP was discontinued by the 2014 Farm Bill, but interested applicants can now apply for grassland assistance under the new Agricultural Conservation Easement Program.
