Dr. Tiffany Cox comes from a rich history of horse racing and showing coupled with the veterinary profession. Dr. Cox’s father, Dr. Toby Tobias, was a equine practitioner in the DFW area for many years. Dr. Cox completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Tarleton State University. Her love of horse racing resulted in a 13 year career as a Quarter Horse racehorse trainer, highlighted by winning the inaugural running of the B.F. Phillips, Jr. Stakes during the first live Quarter Horse race meet at Lone Star Park. After her successful career as a racehorse trainer, she decided to return to academia by attending Ross University where she completed her DVM degree. Following graduation, Dr. Cox completed an internship at Texas Equine Hospital. Dr. Cox then worked in mixed animal practice and small animal urgent care for four years before joining Trinity. Dr. Cox loves preventive care medicine and general practice. She especially enjoys working with her clients to help educate them and keep their pets healthy and happy!
